The Role of Digital Technologies in Facilitating Sustainability in Developing Countries: A Case of Pakistan

Digitalization is practically influencing the future of human beings, industries, and thus everything around us. Therefore, digital technologies have been able to gain adequate attention around the globe. Even developing nations like Pakistan are no exemption from this phenomenon. The objective of this article is to examine how Digital Technologies are helping in achieving Sustainable Development Goals in the context of developing countries. This concept is discussed with the help of instances from Pakistan. Pakistan being a developing nation faces several challenges in its achievement of technological development and sustainability. To take advantage of the power of those advanced technologies that are supposed to bring about true sustainability, Pakistan would have to formulate operational policies and solutions to deal with these challenges for minimizing the dangers and maximizing the returns.
