Investigating the Security Trade-Offs of 5G Deployment using Block-chain based Encryption Model
Prerak Sudan · 2023
The increasing demand for mobile data transfer has been driving major changes in communication technology, such as the emergence of 5G networks. The 5G deployment, however, brings with it trade-offs in terms of security. Many researchers have proposed employing block-chain based encryption models to improve the security and privacy of 5G networks. This paper examines the security trade-offs of 5G deployment using such models. It identifies both the potential security benefits that blockchain-based encryption can offer and the trade-offs in terms of scalability, performance, and security risks that must be considered. Possible implementation and deployment scenarios for such block-chain based encryption models are discussed. This paper concludes that block-chain based encryption is a promising approach to enhancing the security of 5G networks, but that further research into scalability and performance issues must be completed before it can be deployed in a production 5G network.
