Information Injection by Modulating the Feedback Light of Reservoir Computing System Based on a Semiconductor Laser Subject to Optical Feedback

An information injection method for time-delay optical reservoir computing system is investigated, where the information is injected by modulating feedback light of the semiconductor laser-based reservoir. Compared with previous optical information injection methods, the system structure is simple and requires fewer parameters to be adjusted. The results show that under optimized parameters, the minimum errors of 0.0056 for Santa Fe task and 0.20 for NARMA10 task are obtained.
