In various fields, augmented reality technologies have continued to advance, notably in safety training and retail applications. ShipXR, an augmented reality software, has emerged as a noteworthy example, aimed at enhancing ship operations by providing precise and engaging information. Users have the capability to select ship models, explore various ship components, and experience 3D visualizations within real-world environments. This study employed the System Usability Scale (SUS) questionnaire to evaluate the usability of ShipXR's augmented reality feature among three distinct generations: X, Y, and Z. The findings indicate that Generation Y participants assigned a significantly higher mean usability rating compared to both Generation X and Generation Z. Additionally, a One-Way ANOVA test revealed significant differences (p < 0.01) among these generational groups, potentially attributable to varying levels of technological sensitivity and familiarity.
