This paper introduces a novel multi-objective hunger games search algorithm (MOHGS) with a keen focus on optimal power flow determination. The primary goal of this approach is to minimize critical factors: the generation cost, power losses, and environmental emissions within the realm of economic dispatch. This algorithm was judiciously applied to a standard system - the IEEE 30 bus. Subsequent evaluations were carried out using the MATLAB software, and the results were benchmarked against a series of diverse case studies to underline its effectiveness. The data reflects MOHGS's proficiency; for instance, in Case #1, the fuel cost stands at ${\$}$833.4/h with emissions at 0.24 ton/h and an actual power loss of 5.1 MW. Similarly, in Case #6, the fuel expenditure is noted at ${\$}$967/h, with an emission level of 0.22 ton/h and a power loss of 3.4 MW. These findings not only reiterate MOHGS's capability in managing voltage stability index, actual power loss, emission volumes, and generation fuel costs but also spotlight its potential as a pivotal tool in power systems optimization.
