Network Traffic Analysis : Exploring Network Threats with Wireshark and PCAP Files

Network traffic continues to grow up at a compound rate. Traffic analysis using internet is an activity to record data from user activities in using the Internet. Wireshark, a well-known open-source network protocol analyzer provide toolkit for capturing and analyzing PCAP (Packet Capture files). PCAP allows user or expertise in Networking to get into deep insight into their operation of network. This paper study the key features and capabilities of Wireshark and focusing on its role in examining PCAP files and shedding light on the inner workings of complex networking environments. Another discussion involved process of capturing network packets, and, filtering traffic.
