Android MVVM Architecture

Denis Panjuta, Loveth Nwokike · 2023

In Chapter 7 , we learned about the Firebase services, which enabled us to build an application where we can authenticate users and perform complete CRUD operations, which most real-world apps do contain. Here we will learn about architectural patterns and why you need to use them in your Android projects, especially for large applications. Architectural patterns in general determine how your projects interact with each other. They provide guidelines for managing your application&s;s project and help to structure your code, making it more readable, and improving the overall design. In Android, there are common patterns that have been introduced. We will briefly discuss them and then go into the Google recommended approach for building applications. You will also learn how to manage the success and error states of the application data, especially when working with data from a remote source and handling possible errors.
