Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) is a non-centralized, self-regulating, easy-to-deploy wireless ad hoc network that can be found in specific applications such as military scenarios, sensor networks, vehicle-to-vehicle communication. Better Approach to Mobile Ad hoc Networking (B.A.T.M.A.N.), developed by the Freifunk community, was chosen as the routing protocol in MANET. The Raspberry Pi series single board computers provide a compact, mobile and low-cost platform that satisfies the required hardware base for MANET deployment. In this paper, three minicomputers Raspberry Pi 4B computers with 4 gigabytes of RAM are used as in MANET as mobile nodes. The testbed presents a lot of experimentation, arranging communication between mobile nodes, analyzing the functionality of the routing protocol and managing communication messages on each node, which can help with many problems present in real-life scenarios for operating MANET systems. The main task is to evaluate performance of such a network is evaluated in two use scenarios using three important metrics: message latency, average channel throughput, and packet delivery ratio.
