With the emergence of COVID-19 in 2019, life appeared to have come to a halt. The complexity and intricacy of human life are rising due to this pandemic. Many fatalities have been brought about by this infection. The absence of antiviral drugs is one of the causes of the COVID-19 virus’s proliferation. This virus is rapidly and continuously spreading because of a variety of common human mistakes including infected persons coughing, sneezing, and breathing. The primary symptom is the common flu. One of the main elements accelerating the virus’s spread is contact with humans directly. Wearing a face mask in public settings is the most important preventative strategy to stop the spread of this infection. The World Health Organization (WHO) declared the application of a face mask to be a mandatory measure to prevent the spread of the infection. However, it takes a lot of time to manually check if someone is wearing a face mask in public. The invention of an automated system was motivated by the necessity to monitor persons wearing face masks. Currently, diverse approaches based on machine and deep learning may be employed efficiently. In this work, we have proposed a mask detector that uses a machine learning facial recognition algorithm to determine if a person is wearing a mask or not.
