Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) is a networked infrastructure of healthcare systems such as medical devices, applications and services which have subtle concussion in patients’ health monitoring, diagnosis and treatment. With the use of IoMT, diagnosis and treatment are done at a rapid pace with unbelievable accuracy which capacitates healthcare professionals to improve the health status of their patients. An IoMT framework creates a huge amount of data that are shared among the users continuously; however, it poses a number of challenges that have to be solved for their efficient use. Recently, blockchain is emanating as the secured and decentralized platform without involvement of any third party. It offers a number of features like tamper-proof, confidentiality, immutability, traceability, data integrity, security and privacy which make it more convenient to use along with IoMT. The major data management components are data storage, access control, data preservation, privacy preservation, data auditing, etc. This chapter offers a detailed overview of how the enlisted data management components are achieved efficiently by integrating blockchain with IoMT to provide better healthcare to the users of IoMT framework.
