Self-driving Map Creation Robot with Lidar Sensors for Smart Hospitals

This paper introduces a self-driving map generating robot for accurate movement of self-driving service robots in smart hospitals. The self-driving map creation robot uses the YDLIDAR X3 sensor to acquire surrounding environment information and transmits it to the map server to create a map within the hospital. The self-driving map creation robot that was actually developed was shown to create maps accurately through experiments.
