A Survey on ZigBee Technology
Harshita Jha, Surinder Pal Kaur · 2023
A wireless networking technology called ZigBee is renowned for its accurate information transfer, little battery usage, and reasonable speed of transmission. However, problems with remote nodes' visibility can decrease network efficiency. This research offers an amalgamation method and modeling approach for enhancing long-distance data transmission based on channel intensity as a solution to this problem. ZigBee, which took inspiration from IEEE 802.15.4, intends to link inexpensively wireless gadgets for a variety of uses, including smart homes and healthcare. In ZigBee mesh networks, robust transit procedures are crucial, so research is being done to improve transit efficiency. ZigBee, which is based on IEEE 802.15.4, enables mesh networks that are expandable, autonomous and regeneration at a reasonable price. This makes it suited for portable management and analysis operations with less power usage and higher dependability. In contrast to conventional tree scheduling techniques, an Upgraded Tree Routing Algorithm is presented to maximize the flow of packets in ZigBee networks by reducing hop numbers and maybe improving robustness and yield.
