The creation of compact, reasonably priced nodes with the capacity to sense, communicate, and process data is expected to be facilitated by advancements in processor, memory, and wireless technologies. Together, these nodes can function in networks to carry out distributed sensing of environmental events. Sensor webs made up of nodes with wireless connections are used to gather valuable data from the field. It is important to collect sensor data in an energy-efficient way if a sensor network is to function for an extended period. As a result, we proposed a protocol called Enhanced Tree-Based routing protocol which is self-organised where it enables the nodes to connect to other node which has highest virtual potential energy. Each node automatically connects to the next node and transmits data to the sink node.
