Implementation of Optimized Logic Gate Circuits with Majority Voter using QCA Technology

Anjaiah Talamala, Ajit Kumar Patro, P. Kishore · 2023

Quantum-dot Cellular Automata (QCA) is one of the most promising nanotechnologies for overcoming the inadequacies of Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) technology. QCA provides a very efficient computational platform. It is most alluring due to its features, speed, size, minimal power drain, high scalable and higher switching frequency. This paper presents the construction of fundamental, universal and hybrid gates using QCA Majority Voter and the results are in contrast to CMOS logic circuits. The designs are efficient over CMOS logic in terms of area and delay. Authors proposed a straightforward to implement and are having no wire crossings to implement. With the help of a Majority Voter these circuits are realized and also implement any digital circuit using QCA. It is done by using the QCA designer 2.0.3 tool. These circuits are simulated and tested by applying some test inputs to ensure they produce the intended results.
