Design and Implementation of a Monitoring System in an Elderly Facility

Monitoring systems that use ICT or IoT to watch over people have been attracting attention. Since the observer does not need to be in the same space as the monitored target, monitoring systems can effectively monitor people. For this reason, they are used as monitoring systems in a variety of locations, including hospitals and elderly facilities. However, simple monitoring systems may lead to a loss of QoL (Quality of life), such as an increase in psychological stress and an invasion of privacy of the monitored target. Therefore, this study aims to implement a monitoring system with high QoL through a monitoring system using a depth camera in actual situations and to clarify the feasibility.
