Quantum Machine Intelligence
Alessandra Di Pierro, Luca Viganò · 2023
Aspects of human intelligence such as learning, problem solving, and prioritization can be emulated by machines by appropriately programming them to perform those tasks. This is how machine intelligence is created. In order to be able to exhibit intelligent behaviour, machines must rely on some machine learning methods, as well as a battery of automation techniques, and the ability to smartly prioritize and deploy them in the right order. In this chapter we talk about the use of quantum computing for supporting the development of machine intelligence. In particular, we explain the potentialities of quantum learning, such as the task of learning from examples by programming a quantum computer.
