Committing Crimes: Substantive Offences

Abstract In Chapter 2, we considered the various possible classification schemes for computer crime, choosing to adopt a slightly amended version of the categorization used in the Council of Europe Convention on Cybercrime: computer-related crimes, content-related crimes and computer integrity offences. This chapter considers some of the offences under English law that are relevant to crimes carried out under those three headings, involving information, computers and networks, particularly where cyberspace is the environment.
