NEO-PGA: Nonvolatile Electro-Optically Programmable Gate Array

Large-scale, electronically reconfigurable photonic integrated circuits can enable programmable gate array with applications in optical information technology. Phase change materials with large nonvolatile change in the refractive index, can potentially transform these gates, providing one order of magnitude reduction in the device size, zero static energy, and minimal crosstalk.
