Multispin Coding

Abstract Multispin coding is a programming technique which allows us to speed up some Monte Carlo simulations (or other programs) by a significant factor by making use of the low-level bit manipulation functions provided by the CPU of our computer. These functions include logical operations like AND (∧), OR (v) and exclusive-OR (⊕), as well as things like shifts, additions and subtractions.
