Abstract In many problems of electrostatics, magnetism or hydrodynamics the domains limited by a polygonal contour are particularly important. Let us consider for instance a two-dimensional potential flow of velocity U which separates at a vertical rod of length l. The relation of conservation of mass of the fluid leads to an expression of the potentialé as a harmonic function.
