Velocity Distribution.

Abstract Previous chapters have discussed the velocity of individual fluid elements (point velocities), denoted as ux, uy, uz, and the average velocity through a stream cross section, denoted as U. The main objective of the present chapter is to explore the connection between point velocities and cross-section average velocity by developing physically sound quantitative descriptions of the distribution of velocity in cross sections.
