Abstract In Chapter 2, we saw that numeric data can be stored in different types of structure: scalars, vectors (consisting of variates and factors), and arrays. We now consider how these structures are defined and how values are given to these structures. We also introduce lists, which are structures in GLIM that are used to store collections of identifiers, and show how lists can be used and manipulated.
