Abstract The CLASSI package (Åman 1987) is introduced in this chapter by an account of the theoretical basis of the classification procedures which it embodies. Then the direct use of the classification programs is described, followed by further details of extra facilities such as the handling of complex quantities. The form of the results and the future directions of work in this area are considered. Finally a list of all CLASS! modules, including those not directly related to the classification algorithms, is given.
