Semicontinuity in Bv

Abstract This chapter is entirely devoted to the lower semicontinuity of integral functionals in [BV(O)r, with Q c RN. This problem, presenting many nontrivial aspects even when the domain is restricted to Sobolev spaces, is more difficult in BV because of the possible interaction between the different parts of the derivative.
