Electronic warfare is the core means to occupy the dominant role of electromagnetic spectrum in war. With the development of advanced components and continuous progress of technology, electronic warfare is facing severe challenges such as complex battle scenes and difficulties in situation signal perception. Once software failure occurs, it will seriously affect the decision of combat mission and the safety of system operation. Formal modeling of software during the requirement phase is an important method to identify and eliminate risks, especially for safety requirements. However, it is difficult to meet the requirements of airborne electronic warfare software by traditional formal modeling method, which cannot guarantee the integrity and adequacy of safety analysis work. In this paper, we improved the traditional formal modeling method by adding considerations on high reliability and strong real-time capability, meeting the requirements of airborne electronic warfare software. Performance of the proposed method was validated by formal modeling the management control system of a certain type of aviation equipment. Compared with traditional formal modeling method, the proposed method was able to find the defects in the software design, such as mutual exclusion of preconditions and loss of abnormal protection, which proved the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method in the field of electronic warfare.
