An Adaptive Blind CMC E-CMA Receiver for DS-CDMA Systems
Peerapol Yuvapoositanon, J Chambers · 2002
Abstract The use of the constant modulus algorithm (CMA) for blind interference cancellation in multiuser applications, as in DS-CDMA systems, has been widely studied. However, without proper control of its convergence behaviour, the CMA receiver may lock onto an interfering user rather than the desired user. This misconvergence problem is aggravated when the interference is stronger than the desired user. Such a power disparity situation is widely known as the near-far problem. Lambotharan et al. [4] propose the idea of including a cross-rnrrelation term ,With the CMA cost function so as to prevent different interference cancellers (equalizers) converging to the same solution.
