Abstract Consider a language L containing several one-place predicates, an unending supply of variables xI .. . xn, left and right parentheses as devices of punctuation, and the following logical vocabulary: ∀, ∨ , ∼, =. Assume a rudimentary Tarskian truth definition for L, where s ranges over infinite sequences of objects in the domain, k ranges over the natural numbers, skis the object in the kth position of s, and ϕ and ψ range over formulae .
