Comparative Tables of the Contents of the Main International Copyright and Neighbouring Rights Treaties

Silke von Lewinski · 2008

Abstract The following tables for the main copyright and neighbouring rights treaties present a ‘big picture’ of the rules and elements of protection through their juxta position and thereby aim at facilitating their understanding in a broader context. The tables may be useful to clearly visualize developments over time as well as the strong tendency to build on the relevant earlier treaties. In combination, the tables may be of benefit for the reader who is interested in a comparison of the individual elements of protection and provisions under copyright and neigh-bouring rights. The tables are necessarily rudimentary; the preceding chapters should be consulted for details.
