The next block of patterns we cover is Error Patterns . These patterns are related to error and failure messages, either explicitly stating that there is an error or doing that indirectly via error code, abnormal function return value, or (in the case of Windows systems) NT status value in the failure range. Their pattern language names are: Error Message, Exception Stack Trace, False Positive Error, Periodic Error, and Error Distribution.
