Developing an Automatic Speech-to-Speech Translator Mobile Application using AWS

This paper presents the development of an automatic speech-to-speech translator application for an Android device that aims to enable real-time conversation between people speaking different languages, without the need for high-speed internet connection or storage capabilities on the mobile device. The application has been developed based on a hybrid approach, combining Google Speech services and Amazon Translation services to provide higher quality translations and free speech functionality for Android users. The system is based on machine learning methodologies for speech recognition and translation and supports two-way voice translation for 44 languages.
