A Brief Review on Outlier Detection Techniques in IoT

The Internet of Things (IoT) is already a reality, with vast number of hubs doing a wide range of tasks. The purpose of every network, from modest networks to vast-scale networks, is to transmit information from hubs to the base hub. This information is vulnerable to a various circumstances that could jeopardise the usefulness of the gathered data or the operation of network’s, and thus the desired service quality (QoS). One of the primary difficulties that needs additional investigation and particular solutions in this area is outlier detection. Outliers must be identified and classified as either errors that may be ignored or serious events that demand immediate action to prevent future service degradation. We present a complete overview of contemporary outlier detection approaches utilised in the IoTs setting in this study.
