The Progress of Face Recognition on Artificial Intelligence

Face recognition is one of the most active research areas in computer vision and pattern recognition. It has many practical and commercial applications, including recognition, access control, forensics, and human-computer interaction. Therefore, it has received extensive attention from academia and industry. Face recognition technology includes feature extraction, feature selection, and classifier design. On this basis, this paper expounds the implementation methods and research progress of face recognition technology, analyzes the current mature face recognition algorithms, proposes distributed face recognition for the demand of large-scale real-time face recognition, and forecasts the development direction of face recognition.
