Data Breach in Cloud Computing Due to Misconfigurations

With the advancement in technology, there also rises in the security risk. Cloud computing is referred to as the new era of computing. Unlike previous computing methodologies, like physical servers, where the organization had to store all their data on the premise server for storage, and networking organizations had to buy networking equipment like routers and switches for communicating safely over the internet, still after spending too much, companies were vulnerable to threats. Nowadays, with the help of cloud computing, we can avail all these facilities from the vendors. Cloud computing is based on a pay-as-you-go model. But since the threat is inevitable, we need to be more focused while configuring the setting over to the cloud so that it doesn’t lead to a data breach. This chapter deals with different issues related to misconfiguration in cloud computing.
