Cloud Services through a Blockchain to Enhance the Security

In recent years, cloud computing is a trending technology. Everyone is using this technology for their daily routine. Cloud computing provides various services to the user. Users have to pay only for used services. Though cloud computing is distributed in nature, but at certain situation it acts in centralized manner. Large amount of data is shared on cloud. So, security is a major concern in cloud computing. So, to improve the security as well as privacy, blockchain is designed and developed as a service in cloud. Blockchain technology has distinct features such as immutability, distributed, transparency, etc. For creation of Blockchain as a Service (BaaS), a hybrid consensus algorithm is developed to achieve network security. By creating a smart contract, a user can achieve trust and transparency. This chapter discusses about computing, challenges in cloud computing, blockchain technology, features of blockchain technology, the design of BaaS in the cloud, and the challenges in front of the BaaS.
