A Novel Approach: Load Balancing With Fault Tolerant Technique to Solve Hidden Node Problem in Mobile Ad hoc Networks

Diksha Pandey, Devendra Kumar Tripathi, Geetam Singh Tomar · 2023

This paper addresses the hidden terminal problem in Mobile Ad hoc Networks (MANETs) through the use of enhanced load balancing technique with fault-tolerant mechanisms. The proposed approach aims to distribute network traffic efficiently and ensure resilience in the presence of faults or failures. Evaluation of the technique was performed using NS-2 simulations, considering metrics such as delay, throughput, and packet delivery ratio. The simulation results demonstrated significant improvements in these metrics, validating the effi-ciency of the suggested strategy in reducing the impact of hidden terminals and maintaining network performance. This work contributes to the advancement of MANET solutions, providing a practical approach to improve connectivity and reliability in challenging wireless environments. Since the existing method Fault tolerant Disjoint Ad hoc On-demand Distance vector (FD-AOMDV) routing algorithm have issues like packet loss, delay and traffic. Our Proposed method provides better simulation results as comparison to the existing method FD-AOMDV.
