Development and Evaluation of QCA-Based Feynman and Double Feynman Gates: A Design and Analytical Study

Shiva Dwivedi, Shubra Dubey, Kanchan Sharma · 2023

The field of electronics and computation has an alternative technology to CMOS called Quantum Cellular Automata (QCA). This technology is used to create efficient digital circuits and systems for information processing and communication. QCA technology has several advantages over CMOS, such as occupying less circuit area, higher speed, lower power loss, higher integration scale, and switching frequency than transistors in CMOS. In this paper, two circuit designs are presented, one for an ultra-efficient Feynman gate and another for a Double Feynman gate based on QCA technology. These nano-scale circuit designs are suitable for low-power consumption information processing systems and building large circuits in QCA technology. The simulation and result analysis were performed using the QCA designer tool.
