LBA-PAKE: Lattice-Based Anonymous Password Based Authentication Key Exchange Scheme for VANET
Arman Ahmad, S. Jagatheswari · 2023
The Discrete logarithmic problem (DLP) or prime factorization problems are employed in key exchange protocol’s security. But now Shor has given an algorithm that can resolve these problems on quantum computers in polynomial time. Classical cryptography assures the security of the numerous authentication key exchange (AKE) protocols that are already present in VANET. But in the quantum computing era, these protocols were not secured by quantum attacks. In this paper, we proposed a protocol that is an anonymous password based authenticated key exchange for VANETs which is postquantum era secured. Further, our proposed protocol supports perfect forward secrecy (PFS), key reuse, and anonymity features. Finally, our proposed protocol’s security analysis shows that it is secure and efficient.
