In this chapter, we have presented the applications of blockchain in smart healthcare and proposed a new fully decentralized healthcare architecture for collaborative healthcare. A decentralized IPFS system is integrated with MEC to build a secure data storage system among the ESs in blockchain. To realize decentralized access management, we have developed a new ACSC contract that enables user authentication at the network edge without relying on any central authority, which ensures authentication reliability and reduce data retrieval latency. Furthermore, we have proposed a new lightweight PoR consensus mechanism for the blockchain-based EMRs sharing which not only reduces the mining latency but also achieves network bandwidth savings. We have implemented various real-world experiments to verify the effectiveness of our blockchain approach for smart healthcare.
