Due to the advantages of blockchain technology, especially in terms of security, privacy, secrecy, and decentralisation, many firms have expressed interest in it. One industry that stands to benefit greatly from this technology is healthcare, where Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems frequently struggle with data management, security, and upkeep. In-depth discussion of how blockchain technology may revolutionise EHR systems and a framework for its adoption in the healthcare sector are provided in this article. The proposed architecture defines user access controls and combines blockchain technology with EHR systems to offer secure electronic record storage. To address the scalability issue with blockchain technology, the framework employs off-chain record storing. As a result, the proposed architecture offers a blockchain-based solution for EHR systems that is both secure and scalable.
