This scientific article delves into the intricate domain of waveform design in the context of Compressed Sensing-Based Code Division Multiple Access Multiple-Input, Multiple-Output (CDMA MIMO) radar systems. Compressed Sensing-Based CDMA MIMO radar systems offer a unique platform for leveraging waveform hyper-parameters such as intrapulse duration, intrapulse phase, pulse repetition interval, interpulse phase, coherent processing interval to their fullest potential. By carefully selecting and configuring the waveform parameters, radar engineers and practitioners can enhance the system's ability to distinguish between closely spaced targets, accurately estimate target velocities, and mitigate unwanted sidelobe artifacts. Furthermore, we discuss the impact of these hyper-parameters on mutual coherence, shedding light on the role of waveform design in optimizing signal reconstruction and target detection in compressed sensing radar applications.
