Billiards Detection and Tracking Technology Based on Artificial Intelligence Algorithm

Under the current trend of automation development, in view of the fact that billiards requires a special person to fetch the ball, the tedious labor of putting the ball has also been improved. In order to reduce people’s labor and improve the utilization rate of the billiard table, a fully automatic ball fetching and putting system has been invented. Therefore, this paper makes a further research on billiards detection and tracking technology based on AI (artificial intelligence) algorithm, which can use the local features of the target to track the target, even if the target is partially blocked. The experimental results verify the effectiveness and feasibility of this method. Experiments prove that the billiards tracking accuracy of this AI algorithm is generally higher than that of machine learning algorithm. The highest accuracy of this algorithm can reach 65%, and the highest accuracy of machine learning algorithm is only 37%, which further shows that this algorithm is better than machine learning algorithm. In the tracking of billiards by AI algorithm, by detecting the position information and geometric information of the billiards target in each frame of images, the characteristics of the same billiards in two adjacent frames of images can be matched.
