YouTube Video Spam Comment Detection Using Light Gradient Boosting Machine

The impact of allowing too many spam comments for a YouTube video is that the number of new views for the video goes down drastically. A technique for the identification and detection of spam comments on YouTube has been offered by this study. The current spam detecting techniques used by YouTube is not detecting the spam comments effectively. This study has used 20 different algorithms to train and test the data and have found LightGBM to be the best of all. As the performance of LightGBM is very impressive, this study has used lightGBM algorithm to detect the possible spam comments on a YouTube video.
