Scala String and Packages
Sufyan bin Uzayr · 2023
This chapter discusses strings and packages. String objects in Scala are immutable, meaning they cannot modify once created. In Scala, there are two ways to construct a string: When compiler encounters a string literal, it generates a string object str. Before meeting the string literal, a String type is specified. An accessor method is used to find information about an object. String interpolation is the substitution of identified variables or expressions in a given String with respected values. String interpolation makes it simple to parse String literals. Regular Expressions describe a common pattern used to match a succession of input data, making it useful in Pattern Matching in various computer languages. Packages link together data in a single file or act as data encapsulation; when a file is saved, it is stored under the default package or the package name specified at the start of the file.
