Security of Smart Premises to Prevent Unauthorized Entrance by using IoT Enabled Face Recognition Technique

Security is one of the key issues in the era of technology. So, Facial recognition plays an important role in the biometric authentication that is used in different applications, especially in security. Security of smart premises should be simple, easy to use, and quite accurate. The authentication of a person by recognition of their face is one of the major security paradigms used these days. In this research work, facial recognition by using an Internet of Things (IOT) based solution is proposed. The information of the subjects is stored in the cloud databases. An image is captured by the camera in front of the door, then the real-time face recognition is done using Local-binary pattern (LBP). If the image matches with the known subject's information from the database, entry is granted otherwise denied. An email or a notification is sent to the owner who may or may not allow the entry of that person. Various facial recognition algorithms have been explored to evaluate their working and efficiency.
