This allows consumers to verify the authenticity of a product andtrust that it has not been counterfeited or compromised. This research explores the potential of blockchain technology for product authentication, reviews the current state of the art, and discusses the challenges and opportunities for future research and development and also provides a case study of a real-world implementation of blockchain-based product authentication, highlighting its benefits and limitations. Overall, it is argued that blockchain technology hasthe potential to revolutionize product authentication and createa more secure and trustworthy supply chain ecosystem.
