Network Programmability for Smart Factory Mobile Robotics: the SmartEdge Project Approach

P4-based network programmability is exploited to enable swarm formation and reliable communications in decentralized smart factory scenarios including mobile robots. In band telemetry will be extensively used by all network nodes to provide for dynamic aggregation/disaggregation of connected entities to perform different augmented functions: computing, massive data-delivery, time-sensitive networking.
