Credit cards offer an effective and user-friendly function, so people can use them for online transactions. Utilization of credit cards has increased, and with that, so has the potential for credit card fraud. Financial institutions as well as cardholders suffer considerable financial losses as a result of credit card theft. The major objective is to identify fraudulent credit card transactions with the help of machine learning and Deep Learning algorithms. The recent development of Deep learning algorithms has been the key area of concentration in this regard. To get effective results, a comparative study on Deep Learning and Machine Learning algorithms was conducted.
