The study focused on ergonomically anthropometric body mass index (BMI) measuring system for medical check-ups and maintenance of the human body system's health status. The aim of the study is to develop an ergonomically anthropometric BMI measuring system for medical check-up and upkeep of the human body system's health status. This study covers the estimation of the human body mass index (BMI) of any weight up to 180 kilograms and a height up to 2.1 m. The materials involved in the developed of the BMI measuring system under study are: Load Cells with Strain Gauge, Sonar with Ultrasonic Sensors, Liquid Crystal Displays (LCD), Medium Density Fibreboard (MDF), Microcontroller Arduino Board, and Battery. The system consists of a frame, a platform stand, and a control switch. The performance evaluation was done to measure the system functionality and the results were based on its operation. The results revealed by the performance evaluation of the system that the average weight and height for male and female were measured at 64.4 kg and 169.7 cm, and 54.3 kg and 159.7 cm respectively. The percentage of humans with BMI normal weight is 80 %, and that of BMI underweight is 20 %. The efficiency of the system is 99.94 %.
