Walking through Complexity
Jacques Printz · 2023
The stack of computer interfaces in a smartphone is certainly one of the most complex artificial objects/systems ever imagined by humankind, if not the most complex. The numbers, seen from the outside, are impressive. The organized objects of the 3rd infinity are of two kinds: those that come from the sphere of life, like Laughlin's chicken and those that come from finalized human activity, such as the smartphone. However, strange and paradoxical it may seem, there is a science and an engineering of chance. People have all had the experience of walking through the infinitely complex when they learn their first language since, understandably, the first contact a newborn has with the outside world occurs through the intermediary of their mother, including in gestation. In the later stages of development, adolescent who has become a young adult will discover two other families of language along with their grammars, from which they cannot escape.
