Retraction Notice: Iridology-Based Human Health Examination

Iris can reflect the conditions of a person's body and its organs by checking the iris's tissue strengths and weaknesses. Performing that lies under a field called Iridology that in turn is a field of science that studies the structure of the iris and examines it to determine the status of the different organs. Iridology has been improved due to the fast evolution of image processing and machine learning. Recently, several systems have been established for detecting diseases through examining a specific portion of the iris known as a Region of Interest (ROI). For this purpose, these systems go into three main steps namely: image pre-processing, feature extraction, and classification. This survey aims to present the literature work regarding iridology, including the examined iris tissues, and the related work's accuracy, the limitations as well as future directions regarding this research topic.
